About the AuthorRichard E. HymanRichard grew up in Connecticut, where in high school he enjoyed writing and was a sports reporter. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration from Furman University of South Carolina, where he taught underprivileged children how to swim and wrote a weekly environmental column for the school newspaper. Richard also studied environmental engineering, non-fiction writing, and business at Yale, Georgetown, and Fairfield Universities. His career has been in business. He’s held management positions in terrestrial and space-based telecommunications companies, as well as a variety of other technology businesses including remote sensing, biotechnology, software, and Internet services.
